Established in 1989, Armada Marine Hydraulics is a
global marine hydraulics company offering total capability
for design, manufacture and test of hydraulic systems.
This is supported by teams of qualified engineers
to provide installation, re-engineering and service
of both systems and components.
As the company has steadily grown, Armada Marine Hydraulics
reputation for offering a fast, reliable and efficient
service has continued. We have a large and loyal customer
base which encompasses a diverse range of industries
including marine, M.O.D. luxury yachts, construction,
offshore drilling, agriculture, fishing, mining, renewable
energy and general industry. In recent years our away
teams have worked in various countries including France,
Norway, USA, Brazil, South Korea and Uruguay; and
can be mobilised at short notice if required.
Our supply chain capabilities have grown along with
our engineering division. The supplies division has
local and regional presence occupying our own purpose-built
10,000 square foot factory in Falmouth, Cornwall with
satellite sites at both Launceston and Plymouth. Nationally

We also provide a Managed Inventory System, whereby
our sales personnel will manage your stocks on an
as-needed basis on site, or consignment stocks. We
maintain a large stock of branded components and have
earned our reputation for speed of response to supply
local and worldwide locations.
The Directors all work on site and are committed to
expanding the business and providing its engineers
with the latest technology; whether it is advances
in design software, machinery, advances in process,
or training. At Armada Marine Hydraulics, we have
invested in our design team and have achieved ISO
9001 design accreditation.
Our installation teams have just taken receipt of
two Tube benders to improve efficiency for onsite
pipe work; and we have adopted “Wallform”
as our standard hydraulic/HP air pipe work installation
process which is approved on Type 22/23 & 45 frigates;
amongst others. All of our engineers are committed
to continuous improvement through individual training
programmes; and we are proud that all of our engineers
currently hold the international HUET certificate.
Armada Marine Hydraulics is a member of the British
Fluid Power Association (BFPA) and in accredited
to ISO9001-2000
Quality Assurance Systems. As part our continuous
improvement programme we are exploring the benefits
of AS9100 with our links with CADI
(Cornwall Aerospace and Defence Initiative) and
the company is also active members of Cornwall
Marine Network and the Cornwall
Engineering Group.

Directors, with 30 years of experience in the management
of Plc & Ltd companies. Diverse industry experience
across automotive, gas appliances, marine & construction

Director
20 years experience in management, working with both
engineering and manufacturing supply chains. Joined
Armada Marine Hydraulics in 2003 and has been Sales

Alan Rowe – Technical
Director
Time served mechanical engineer with 30 years experience
in compressed air & hydraulics. Previously UK
service manager for an international hydraulic mining
equipment company based in Finland. With 17 years
experience in luxury yacht hydraulics and extensive
worldwide travel in design consultancy & installations,
joined Armada Marine Hydraulics to set up the hydraulic
division in 1993. Also assistant mechanic on the RNLI

Director
Time served engineer with over 30 years experience
in a wide range of engineering disciplines worldwide
including mining, tunnelling / civil engineering,
off shore drilling, commercial shipping and superyachts,
mostly in a supervisory/ project management/ design
roll. Joined Armada Marine Hydraulics in 1996 and
was last year promoted to the roll of Engineering
