At Armada Marine Hydraulics, we
are ISO 9001 design accredited. Our design office
provides hydraulic system design and project management
capability tailored to the needs of industries ranging
from the luxury yacht sector to the offshore sector.
In first instance an initial exploratory meeting will
take place where the hydraulic system specification
will be drafted with the customer. After agreement
of the system specifications, a layout drawing of
the system will be designed ready for your approval.
Once this step has been reached, the detailed design
process begins and will be periodically reviewed until
final procurement to the customer.
Typically our design services can be split into two
different categories:
• Design of bespoke hydraulic mechanisms.
• Design of hydraulic pipework systems.
Bespoke Hydraulic Mechanisms:
As an example, find below one of our projects that
we supplied to the luxury yacht industry. A stainless
steel dual telescopic ram fitted with internal mechanical
locks. As a note this is aerospace technology adapted
to a marine environment.

Another example of our customer’s
specific production is a stainless steel hydraulic
locking cylinder combining two movements, a retraction
and a quarter turn lock.View

Design of hydraulic pipework
systems:
Our Solidworks 3D CAD capabilities enable us to design
and pre-manufacture complex pipework which is intended
to be installed within the space constraint of an
engine room. The above installation was a fuel system
modification on board a seismic survey vessel which
significantly improved engine reliability and performance.
