Initially a response to a call for tenders to provide a full hose spares kit for the first of the new Q-Flex class of LNG gas tankers, it soon became apparent that poor record-keeping meant the yard hose data was unreliable.
A full hose survey was required and hose register built. Only then could our quote for 600 hoses be accepted. Full spares kit manufactured and supplied on time.
We carried this out in seven days, with two men for survey at short notice. One month for spares kit dispatch.
On the back of this job we were asked back to repeat the procedure for another three ships and our relationship with OSG continues to date.
